My love for design and building started in childhood, growing up on a farm surrounded by old materials waiting to be reimagined. Countless tree forts, dog and bird houses, chicken coops, zip lines, and creek bridges sparked my fascination with how ideas take physical form, teaching me about structure, balance, and the way shape, scale, and light come together to create space long before I knew the architectural terms.
That curiosity grew into a lasting passion for architecture and design. I went on to study Architectural Technology at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), graduating with honors. For many years after, I continued to build that passion under the guidance of a local custom home building team in Kimberley, BC. Where I refined my skills and gained hands-on experience in every stage of building, from the early design concept to the completed, move in ready home.
At Cedar Studio, I bring that same curiosity and expertise to every project. I’m passionate about guiding each client through the creative process, transforming ideas into thoughtful and enduring designs. With an understanding of the many decisions that shape a home, I aim to make the experience calm, collaborative, and inspiring so you can feel confident in every choice and see your vision come to life with clarity and purpose.
Cedar Studio is founded on the belief that design affects how we feel within a space. The way light moves through a room, how form and proportion guide movement, and the balance between openness and intimacy all influence daily life. My goal is to create homes that elevate mood and energy, spaces that feel calm, inspiring, and deeply connected to the people who live in them.
